Laboratory scales

Laboratory scales are precision scales used in laboratories to measure the mass and weight of small objects with high precision. They are often used in scientific research, chemical analysis, pharmaceutical industry, food industry and other laboratory applications.

Laboratory scales are usually equipped with quality sensors that ensure accurate measurement, which is very important in laboratory research where mass and weight measurements are key parameters. The scales are made of materials that do not react with chemicals and are easy to keep clean and sterile.

There are different types of laboratory balances, and some of them are analytical balances, micro balances, semi-micro balances and precision balances. Analytical balances are the most accurate and can measure weights down to 0.0001 grams, while microbalances and semi-microbalances have less precision and can usually measure weights down to 0.001 grams. Precision balances are less precise, but they are also less expensive and are used for general use in laboratories.

When using laboratory scales, it is important to take care of the environment, because vibrations and air currents can affect the precision of measurements. Therefore, laboratory balances are usually placed in special rooms with controlled conditions, in order to ensure the most accurate measurements.
